HAZMAT RELEASES NEW ALBUM "DYSTOPIA NOW" - AS A “PAY-AS-YOU-LIKE” RELEASE

AUGUST 1, 2008 (NEW YORK, NY) - Primordial Music has made the new studio album by HAZMAT available for download. The 6 track album, titled “Dystopia Now” is being made available for download, with listeners being asked to “pay-as-you-like,” rather than having a fixed price.

“Dystopia Now” maintains the aggressive, electronic-laced, guitar-driven industrial that HAZMAT defined on the debut release, while also pulling in a more diverse set of influences and ideas. The result is a more melodic approach, blending elements of coldwave, gothic rock and doom metal into the band’s “post-dead industrial” sound.

“I feel like this album is a really strong progression from the last album,” explains Matt Collins, the artist behind HAZMAT. “I had a chance to focus on the basics of song writing, rather than just making a lot of noise. Of course, the album is still makes a lot of noise, but I feel like the songwriting has gone to the next level.” This album is the first chapter of a three-part work that will be released by the label over the course of the next year, with each chapter being it’s own self-contained album, as well as part of the entire work.

Primordial Music is releasing the album through their website at www.primordialmusic.com.
