Album: Sinners International
Reviewer: Fredrik Croona
I would lie if I said I haven't eagerly been waiting for this album. The album I'm talking about is of course “Zeromancer's” latest CD called simply “Sinners international”. The Norwegians have been quiet for quite some time now and have only teased us with two singles from this album “Dopplegänger I love you” and “I'm yours to Lose,” and that was a couple of years ago. Sinners International is said to be influenced by a infamous cult called “Children of God”. I myself have never heard about that cult but then again it doesn't really matter. The album is still really good and it really lives up to all my expectations (and trust me they were high). Now to mention a couple of songs that I find very good, if not the best on the CD. First off we have “My little Tragedy” which is a very moody song with nice synthesizer melodies and distorted guitars, which is a mix of slow and aggressive. Then, we have a song called, “It sounds like Love (but it looks like sex),” which is a much faster song with really aggressive lyrics followed by “Imaginary friends” which is a really heavy song but with a really nice and catchy chorus that has stuck to my head. I must say that “Zeromancer” has changed back into their old sound that I loved on the CD “Eurotrash” which is a mix of fast, heavy and melodic. I really do hope we get to see a new album soon again which as much put into as this one.
