Thomas Truax

Full Moon Over Wowtown

Psycho Teddy

 Review by: Julie Johnson

Thomas Truax has a different sound that has more of a laid back homegrown feel. I like his voice a lot, and it matches the music. I thought his voice had nice deep tone at times. The music is creative sounding, which is always a good thing. It makes for a more original sound. It had this lounge type sound at times. I also hear some childlike sounds mixed in like a music box and bell. It gives the music a magical sound. "Drifter of the Mind" has interesting sounds, and I like the use of the organ, and at the very end it reminded me of a carnival sounds. Like I said before, creative and different. "Lunar Tic" has this different sound which I liked. It had this crazy mix or instruments. It had sort of a racecar sound effect, and a spacey sound. It is hard to describe. "Full Moon Over Wowtown", the vocals were fun to hear, and I like liked how his vocals took on some different personalities. "Full Moon Over Wowtown," with the added " Tonight" as the word "Tonight was at a higher pitch. I liked how he acted out some of the lyrics with animal sounds. "Shooting Stars" had this wind-up sound, along with a marching sound created by the drums. The vocals were fun, and this yodel sound. You can tell that Thomas has a lot of creativity and imagination and it sounds in his music. I am sure Thomas had a lot of fun making this CD. "Full Moon Over Wowtown", does a good Job using different instruments and getting a great effect. The CD is odd and entertaining, but good.
