Italy’s Claudia Florio and Riccardo Prencipe’s latest installment magically comes to life with breathtaking Eastern inspired realization along their hypnotically flavored baroque ballads moving swiftly through corridors of haunting operatic laments. With the obvious traces of unadorned chamber and folk amplifying poignantly along their established body of work, Lupercalia isn’t musically unlike fellow countrymen, Ataraxia. Yet far from clones, Lupercalia delve far off into their own archaic skies that distinctly harkens aural sculptures both fantastic and grandeur.
