I have known Sylvia for about 10 years now. We used to live in the same apartment building here in NYC in fact. Not only is Sylvia a sweet and beautiful woman, but in her new release- JUMP IN.We hear how passionate and good she feels in her skin and about life. It's not that Sylvia pretends that life is easy, but that you can look back fondly while moving forward. Sylvia and I are about the same age, so you will have to ask her about that. The maturity in this album, her vocal range, the clarity and crispness of her voice shine through. I especially like what Sylvia has done with the arrangements with her previous hits: Too Close to the Sun and Sleepless dark water. It's ethereal, it's poppy, it's magical and the radio needs to spin this cd with love and affection.Other favorites on this cd: Sanctuary, A day like any other, and the title track- Jump In. If you happen to be an old skool October Project fan, well Sylvia has been collaborating with Emil and Julie of OP fame for some years now and this strong partnership shines through on this cd.At times the cd smacks of Madonna's recent efforts, but I don't mean this in any way but in admiration. This cd shows how sunny Sylvia's future is and how free and uninhibited her voice sounds and I imagine how Sylvia feels about life and being in the moment.
