“Sonik Foundry is back with an intense preview of their forthcoming release 'Chaos'. This digital EP is the culmination of many creative minds, electronic styles and beats, so each track has its own personality. Don't stop at just one! You'll still hear Sonik Foundry's signature catchy tracks with in-your-face energy and pounding beats, but also see Nikademus' progression and heartfelt darkness shine through. Savour this, as it is only a preview to what's to come for the full length”

Into the Storm

A bubbling start to this ambient track that is deliberately slow and plodding for a good reason, with a crisp and melancholic vocal, however it holds a magic about it that is compelling. Its marching regimented beat is hypnotic and the thunder strike at the end of the track is superb! I can honestly say this track is fast becoming a guilty pleasure!

Mind Twister

Absolutely ‘trancy’ and ‘dancy’ it really comes into its own here, the rhythms are dark and powerful and extremely compelling. It really hits the mark with its protruding rhythms that immediately throbs, bristling in all the right places. The beats come thick, fast and hard and can definitely be classed as ear candy! This track literally explodes with dynamic ardour and is a very satisfying listen. No doubt it will be getting replayed a few more times yet before moving on, it’s definitely right up my street!

Into the Storm - Ruined Conflict Shattered Remix

A very epic track that harbours some superb and outstanding synth. It spirals into a very serious track that is harsh further on with mesmeric beats and jagged rhythms that are none the less compelling. The emerging force from this track is like an unyielding, gigantic tidal wave that will wash over you and smash your head on a few rocks along the way! It is beautifully devastating and that begs the question will I ever get to the end of this album as I am picking up a lot of favourites along the way.

Mind Twister - Machines on Blast Remix

A rich dark tempting track filled with ambience and distorted vocal which immediately forges intrigue into the mix. The mesmerising drum beat is fiery and passionate with a rabid rhythm of raging synth and considerably catchy.

Into the Storm – CAT5 Fallout Mix by FearPassage

I have to say I love Fearpassage so it is hardly likely I am not going to love this track. Its brooding, resonating rhythms are rich and powerful with an added sprinkling of choppy synth notes that houses an urgent feel about it. Impacting and dynamic it literally teases and seduces the listener with a powerful consistency.

Mind Twister – Tragic Impulse Remix

Stark and serious this has a firm grip on the aural and an undeniable fertile flow of solid rhythms contained within its grasp. However slow and non-danceable, the crispness of the track is joined by a plodding rhythm and a spiced beat that hits with a stalking intimidation and lots of trance moments to savour.

Into the Storm Remixed by Natalie Dunn

From deeper depths to startling keys this track holds great inspiration as the rhythms twist around your ears with a warm ambient persuasion. Quite the slow stalker, but really intriguing with its melodic tendencies.

Quiet before the Storm – N1nestein Remix

Slowly sizzling this track houses some superb harmonies that simply bathe the ears in a dark brooding ambience. The vocals are urgent, whilst its hypnotic stance is consuming, as they release their rhythmical passionate swathes in abundance.

Mind Twister – Terrorkode Blinded Remix

This track has no problem seeking attention and grabs you immediately. It bubbles and broods with a bristling quality, gnawing away at the aural and is a superb dance track into the bargain. Mesmerising and compelling it is packed full of embracing rhythms and beats that the body will find hard to ignore.

Into the Storm – Tragic Impulse Remix

This track introduces dark, heavy, sonic synth tones that are awash with harsh rhythm and a strong vocal, that is very confident and striking in delivery and extremely catchy – which always helps for memorability and another sizzler notching up another favourite although as I said the whole album is just superb and hard to choose one track to indulge in.

To Sum up:

A thoroughly scintillating album that holds plenty emotive embrace and torrents of intensity with brooding ambience. Every track holds its own distinct slant and is impacting and rhythmic. I am really hard pushed to pick one favourite track as they are all so entertaining and provoke the senses, whether ‘dancy’ or slower in tempo. This is one superbly satisfying album that deserves to be played over and over again and already has been, several times and no doubt will be played several times more.

The streaks of urgency throughout the album are just so compelling and forge a creative union with the listener. I can’t recommend this enough – on pressing play this album will literally take your breath away.
