Brothers Grym is made up of Ezekial Rage and Danyel Belmont, and they are a new Industrial duo from Innsbruck, Tirol Austria. They just came out with their debut album, a limited edition CD in a digi-pak called "Fairytales Vol. 1". This group and their album is themed around ancient Germanic fairytales by the original "Brothers Grimm". Released in 2009 on Ezekial Rage Music, this release has awesome childlike artwork inside the booklet. I’m not sure if this is supposed to be funny or serious. I’m getting mixed emotions from this one. All of the lyrics and text are in German; I can only understand some of the translations. At times, the music is dark industrial dance, other times it is poppy German techno with singing and talking. There is a picture of the group in the middle pages of the booklet, and they seriously look like Slash from Guns N Roses and Bubba Ho-tep (The Bruce Campbell movie). Musically, I think they are telling fairytales in German over synth techno/enchanting industrial? On track number four, entitled "Einer, der auszog, das Furchten zu Lernen" there are samples from Terminator 2: Judgment Day! This is really funny. Track number seven, entitled "Scneewittchen" (also a great German pop duo) is like something you might hear at a late night Gay Bar, or you might catch Arnold pumping iron to....not that that is a bad thing...There are a bunch of bonus tracks on here as well, including "13", and "Rapunzel"...This is a decent album and it is worth checking out if you are into the folklore technizzle...
