What I am about to review is the bonus CD that comes with Apoptygma Berzerk The Harmonizer DVD. Some of the DVD features includes The World Harmony Tour recorded live in Hamburg, Germany, videos and a documentary of the making of Harmonizer. So now on to the bonus CD that include seven different versions of “Unicorn” , “ Pikachu”, “Non Stop Violence” a live version, “114 BPM” and “A Strange Day” The first remix of “Unicorn” is the video version. This version is much more rock oriented with heavy guitars Metallica style. There is definitely a heavier sound to this version and it is very cool. The next version is the “Fairlight Children Rmx” which has more of a synthpop-electro feel. One I like the most of about this version is the vocals have a robotic effect all the way through this song. It is interesting take without the human voice. The next version of “Unicorn” is a TOY Remix. Again, is continues to capture the melody and the vocals have a repeated effect with “The Damage Done to ME” is restated a few more times. This version has a more laid back feel, and probably is one of my favorites on this bonus CD. If you’re looking for a more -darker version try the remix by Hocico. It is in great Hocico fashion was harsh beats. The vocals now have distortion where is sounds like Stephen is singing through a fan. Another interesting and club friendly bonus track was 114 BPM. This is a sure treat for fans of APB and who are lucky to pick up this DVD. I am sure you will like the new material found here.
