Spanking Machine is a dark electro fetish group from the L.A. area. I really liked this three-song demo. I felt the band had great melodies and were great for any dancefloor. The first track, "Konstruct", had many dark edges and great synth manipulations. The vocalist has super sexy angelic vocals that are a perfect fit within the band’s fetish style. "Seduction" had a slower start to the beginning of the track. At first I thought it was not very exciting, but after a few minutes this track brought my attention back. Still, it took a good 3 and a half minutes before the programming picked up and had some substance to it. The last track, "Game", was the best on this demo. It blew the other two songs away musically. It had more thick bass and thick beats. I love the sample used in the beginning that the dungeon had a new inmate. "Game" was a slick electronic track with a hot danceable beat. I hope that the rest of their music will have some of this track’s influence.
