First off I would just like to say that I haven't read a real book in about ten years. But then when I got the opportunity to read and review a book about the Gothic culture in the UK I thought “hey why not”. But I misread what the book was really about, it was about a Gothic band from the UK! The bands name is “The beautiful deadly children” and the book closely follows the band from the start when it was just a one man band to its full ensemble. I found the book really easily read and with lots of funny pictures in it (which helped a lot since I hate to read page after page too much info for me). The beautiful deadly children consist of the following persons Paul Steventon-Marks (Vocals and composer), John Douglas Maddison (Keyboards) , Olivia Barnard-Firth (Fashion designer) and Kit Kat Mahoney  (Keyboards and backing vocals). The Beginning of the bok consists mostly of Paul and his adventures in the UK Gothic scene and how he meet the other band members and works his way from nothing up to a full band which obviously has accomplished  a lot.A funny thing about the book is the pictures and there are a lot of pictures of all the funny and weird outfits that the beautiful deadly children use and are known for, specially Paul's outfits they are one of  the funniest things I've ever seen. I can seriously recommend this book , but it's maybe best if you know the band before hand which I didn't but I can promise you it will put a smile on your lips and maybe give you a laugh or two
