I Am Legend

I Am Legend, the fourth adaptation based on the 1954 novel by Richard Matheson. Directed by Francis Lawrence, I Am Legend stars Will Smith, as scientist Robert Neville, who fears he may be the last survivor left in New York City…and maybe the world, after a man-made virus wiped-out the human race. Mutants they are now, prowling the darkened corners of night in search of food, while Robert’s immunity to the virus has him tirelessly working on a cure using his own immune blood.

As a way to communicate with any possible survivors of the virus, Robert sends out radio messages and scours New York City in the brightest of daylight, hoping someone will answer his call. And when night falls, Robert faces the living nightmare of what man has done to humankind and Earth.

I Am Legend will rise from the darkness on Friday, December 14th, 2007.
