Rammstein is not an unknown band anymore (not even in the US, I would guess) but compare them now to about 12 years ago and not many people would know them (besides for Germany maybe). Anyway, it seems that it's time for the band to celebrate and release a “Greatest Hits” which they have named Made in Germany.

The album consists of 16 of the best tracks released by Rammstein (even in my opinion) and a second album with a shitload of remixes where maybe four are good enough to even listen to. There is also one new track called “Mein Land” which is god damn awesome!

I'm not really sure what to write because either you know Rammstein or you don't. Rammstein is solid well played industrial metal in German with a lot of funny and clever lyrics and sometimes a bit disturbing. This is probably one of the best bands in the genre and none can do it like they can so of course this is a must have for fans and newcomers alike.

OK, so let's write something about the remixes. I have chosen the following three. “Feuer Frei! Remixed by Junkie XL,” which is a pretty heavy version with a little club hint in it, but still with the heavy guitars. And then you have a Pet Shop Boys remix of “Mein Teil” which is almost a little bit more pop like but still with a bit of the Rammstein aggressiveness.

And last but not least the most funny remix on the album Pussy which is remixed by the famous euro techno group Scooter. This is a total rework and almost retains nothing from the original version besides the vocals that have been a bit pitched down.

I forgot to mention the second CD is only available if you get the exclusive or limited edition. It is not a big loss if you don't want to spend extra cash on it because the first CD is the best one anyway.
